Admission requirements for the study of Ballet
Candidates should have completed general high school education and a secondary ballet school or have an appropriate/corresponding ballet education which is validated by the Admission Committee
There is no age limit for this programme
Enrolment is open to current and former dancers / pedagogues and choreographers as well as to young ballet dancers who have just completed their secondary ballet education and wish to acquire an academic degree in ballet.
Candidates who have finished/ or only took classes at the Higher Ballet School of the Conservatory for Music in Ljubljana or some similar institution abroad can apply for formal or informal accreditation of prior learning. These applications will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis by the Admission Committee in accordance with the policy for accreditation of prior learning and credits given for relevant experience and skills.
Candidates must submit the following documents before enrolling in the programme:
A certified copy of a high school certificate /diploma
Proof of completed secondary ballet school or similar ballet education which is subject to the validation of the Admission Committee
Candidates must have good knowledge of the English language, both written and spoken.

ADMISSION INTERVIEW DATES FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF BALLET:
Ljubljana, Slovenia: 26.5, 12.7., 13.9., in 29.9. at 10 a.m. at Center Premik, Neubergerjeva 9
AT THE ADMISSION INTERVIEW THE CANDIDATES FOR BALLET DO NOT HAVE TO UNDERTAKE ANY PRACTICAL PART OF THE DANCE/CHOREOGRAPHIC EXAM. THE ADMISSION COMMITTEE WILL EVALUATE THEIR PSYCHOPHYSICAL ABILITIES AND THE POTENTIAL FOR THE STUDY OF BALLET ON THE BASIS OF THEIR DOCUMENTATION AND INTERVIEW.
