Migration and integration
Course description:
Course will address the questions regarding Migration crisis, Balkan migrant route and influences of those events on social and economic relationships in Panonian Region. We will emphasize the challenges and threats of migration, searching for opportunities and finding solutions for issues connected with Migrations and Integration.(splošno)
Through 3 lectures the participants will get acquaintance with basic concepts regarding socio-economic influences of migration on Balkan region and society through history and now days. Giving practical samples we will discuss security and humanitarian issues, considering migration as part of contemporary reality in Panonian region. Discussions and creative workshops on how to promote positive aspect of migration and integrate them into overall We will address the following topics in these 3 days course:
1. Notion of migration and accompanied issues in the Panonian Region (security aspects)
2. Socio-Economic and medical aspects of Migration and Integration
3. Migration and the European labor market
Altogether the participants will have 15 academic hours of lectures and practical work during these three days. The lectures will take place from 9.00 till 13.00, if possible (5 academic hours daily).
AMEU ECM will offer 3 ECTS within the accredited course Socio-economic aspects of Migration and Integration. Later is an elective course in Master program on Migration Studies at AMEU ECM. The participants will have to fill out the application form, attend at least 80% of lectures, proceed individual desk and literature research and write the assignment (15 pages, approx. 3.500 words) within one month after the course is completed. The price of the course for those applying for ECTS is 250 EUR.
