New cooperation with Kazakhstan
On 19 and 20 February 2015 in Venice, Dr. Peter Pavel Klasinc, head of the department for archivistics and documentology at the AMEU, met Alyna Mustafina from the Directorate for Archivistics of the Ministry of Culture and Sports in Astana, the Republic of Kazakhstan.
We agreed on cooperation in the field of researching archive theory and practice, and transferring knowledge in the field of archiving science, as well as on our potential collaboration with the University of Astana. We discussed topics for the planned international conference which will be held in Trieste in October, and the attendance of archivists from Kazakhstan at the School of Archiving in Trieste.
