Alma Mater students ran with a noble cause

A team of Alma Mater physiotherapy students participated in the tenth Wings for Life charity run last Sunday in Ljubljana. Entry fees were for research into spinal cord injuries and the search for a cure.

Wings for Life World Run takes place worldwide simultaneously, in addition to the possibility of running in seven official competitions in Slovenia, Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Georgia, Poland, and Croatia. "We all ran with the same noble purpose of helping people facing spine problems. We ran for everyone who can't do it and helped raise money for research to treat diseases and spinal injuries," says Klara Trček proudly on behalf of the participating students. She adds that the event is also an opportunity for socializing and bonding.

Alma Mater Europaea faculty students participated in the Wings for Life run for the second year in a row, this year in an even larger group than last year. "We have already decided to come back next year, and at the same time, we invite all the other students from different fields of study to join us. The feeling of socializing with your colleagues at a sporting event is exceptional, but it's even better if you can also help someone with it. See you next year," concludes Klara.
