Mateja Berčan, PhD is a specialist in gerontological nursing care. She is employed as a private community nurse. She is the president of the Association of Private Community Nurses of Slovenia and a member of the executive board of the Section of Community Nurses at the Chamber-Association. Since 2012, she has been the authorized supervisor of the Health Insurance Institute of Slovenia for the implementation of financial and medical supervision in the field of community nursing care and nursing care in social welfare institutions.
