BASICS OF CHOREOLOGY

In Basics of Choreology, we will focus on the development of dance science, mostly on the development of dance writing, and later learn the basic elements of writing down dance according to Laban’s system and choreography records, which students will be able to use in their work. Students will learn about key personalities in the dance science development. They will also learn about the elements of structural-formal dance and choreography analysis, and use this method in different dance/choreography analyses.
