We are glad to announce that Alma Mater Europaea – ECM received accreditation for the doctoral study programme Physiotherapy from the Slovene Agency for Quality Assurance (NAKVIS).
With this, Alma Mater Europaea became the only higher education institution in this part of Europe that offers Physiotherapy at doctoral (PhD) level. We have therefore developed the whole vertical in Health studies (degrees at all three Bologna cycles). Let us emphasise that physiotherapy herewith became an independent scientific-research discipline that developed first in the USA, United Kingdom, Scandinavia and Russia; while the other countries in Europe followed in the last few years.
Alma Mater Europaea – ECM is the first one that accredited the doctoral study programme of this young science, with scientists that come from Slovenia and abroad. These include scientists and researchers from the Charles University Prague, Medical University Vienna, Medical University Graz, …
The study of physiotherapy at Alma Mater is aimed at professionals from the field of physiotherapy, medical doctors, and other similar scientific programmes, related to research work. The academic year starts in October 2018. We are inviting all interested people to join us for the presentation of the study programme and info day which will be held at the beginning of September, where top scientists and researchers will present the new trends and approaches, methods and technologies in physiotherapy. You can sign up for the info day at the following address: tina.kavticnik@almamater.si. The exact date and all details will be given shortly.
