Alma Mater active in Moscow


Moscow-based university MFUA hosted the 10th conference of Archives of the Slavic countries, providing a platform to the representatives of the national archives of Slavic countries to exchange experience and knowledge from the field of digitalization of archives.

The conference was organized by the All-Russian Scientific Institute for Records and Archives VNIIDAD, the International Institute of Archival Sciences in Trieste IIAS and Alma Mater Europaea ECM. The participants expressed the need for systematic education of archivists in Europe, and especially evaluated the work of the department of archival science at Alma Mater, led by assoc. prof. dr. Peter Pavel Klasinc.

This most representative institution of the Russian Federation for the issue of Archives, VNIIDAD, awarded prof. dr. Ludvik Toplak with a special award for his successful work and organisation of international scientific conferences and professional activities.

Moscow was also host to the XXVI Euroasian Conference of the International Council of Archives (EURASICA ) under the auspices of the Director of the Federal Archives Agency, prof. dr. Andrey Nikolaevich Artizov. In addition to Alma Mater, Slovenia was also represented by Director of the National Archives of Slovenia, dr. Bojan Cvelfar and his assistant mag. Aida Babic.
