“We are extremely happy with our visit. The people of Maribor accepted the event on ‘Glavni trg’ really well, and we wish to make this a tradition. With the visit of both rectors – University of Maribor, prof. dr. Igor Tičar and Alma Mater Europaea - ECM – prof. dr. Ludvika Toplaka, as well as the Dean of the Medical Faculty of the University of Maribor – prof. dr. Ivan Kranjc in at our stalls, we have shown that we work hand in hand and are successfully associated with projects and students of our fellow institution, the University of Maribor.” Said Alen Pavlec, President of the Student Council at Alma Mater.

At the event, students introduced their projects: corrective exercises for elementary school children; From Birth to Steps; they introduced the basic resuscitation procedures, measured blood pressure and sugar content, and raised awareness about breast cancer. Furthermore, it was also possible donate blood and to get registered as a bone marrow or organ donor.

The day was also quite the sporting event, featuring friendly matches in volleyball and soccer between students of the University of Maribor (UM) and Team Alma Mater.  UM students claimed a 2:0 victory in volleyball, while Alma Mater won the soccer match with a 2:1 score. Congratulations to everyone for this fantastic event!
