Alma Mater Students Impressed at the 17th Health Sciences Conference

Students of Alma Mater Europaea University attended the 17th Student Conference in Health Sciences, held on May 13, 2025, at the Faculty of Health Care Angela Boškin in Jesenice.

This year’s conference, titled Changes for the Future of Healthcare: Connecting, Innovating, and Evidence into Practice, once again brought together students and professionals from various higher education institutions working in the field of health sciences.

Under the expert guidance of mag. Edvard Jakšič and Dr. Tine Kovačič, students of Alma Mater, actively participated in the conference by presenting their research projects and contributing to professional discussions that highlighted the need for changes tailored to the modern challenges in healthcare. The conference focused on three key themes: connectivity, innovation, and evidence-based practice. The discussions covered interdisciplinary collaboration, sustainable development, digitalization, and developing new competencies in the healthcare profession.

Special attention was also given to presenting a best practice example of student collaboration in the Trikotnik znanja project, with the key idea "In Unity, There Is Strength", where participants showcased innovative approaches to maintaining cognitive abilities in residents with dementia. This is an excellent example of how collaboration among students, mentors, and institutions can lead to concrete solutions in everyday practice.
