Alma Mater Europaea – ECM is highly successful in international integration with educational and research institutions. In the past few days, she started collaborating with the University of British Columbia on the interdisciplinary project Inter PARES Trust Al, whose purpose is to design, develop and use artificial intelligence to support the constant availability and accessibility of trusted public records.
"We consider it a great honor to be able to participate in this project. The goals focus on identifying specific AI technology that can address critical records and archives challenges. We want to find out the advantages and risks of using artificial intelligence technologies on documents and archives and ensure that archival concepts and principles will be the basis for the development of responsible artificial intelligence," says Luka Martin Tomažič. He took over coordinating this project at Alma Mater and will devote his research to archival science and law. In the role of researchers Matej Mertik, Miroslav Novak, and doctoral candidates Luka Hribar and David Gajič.
The Inter PARES Trust Al represents an opportunity to contribute significantly to original research, student training, and creating a virtuous circle between academia, archival institutions, government records professionals, and industry.
