Dr  Plenković (1947-2022) was the founder and head of doctoral study in Strategic Communication Management at Alma Mater Europaea - ECM, senator of Alma Mater, and a member of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts.

We sincerely appreciate his academic career, and his outstanding work for and contributions to the development of Alma Mater.  

Farewell speeches were given by the president of Alma Mater Europaea – ECM, Dr Ludvik Toplak; the rector of the University of Zagreb, Dr Damir Boras; the head of Strategic Communication Management at Alma Mater, Dr. Božidar Veljkovič; and the lecturer of this doctoral study program, Dr. Daria Mustić.

The commemoration was held in the presence of the immediate family: his son Andrej Plenković, Prime Minister of the Republic of Croatia, and Dr Vlasta Kučiš,  widow of the late Dr Mario Plenković.

The farewell ceremony was also attended by rectors of other universities, deans, members of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts and the Slovenian Academy of Sciences and Arts, and other colleagues, students, and friends. Professor Dr Mario Plenković left memorable impressions on all of us.
