Assoc. Prof. Jana Košťálová, Ph.D. is an academic and practitioner with over 20 years of experience in Project Management. Her expertise spans areas such as Project Management Maturity and Project Management Maturity Models, Sustainable Project Management, HR in Project Management, and the Methodology of Project Management for projects financed or co-financed by EU Funds.

Previously, Jana Košťálová served as a project manager in the PMO of Unicreditbank Czech Republic. Fifteen years ago, she began her Ph.D. studies, focusing on the management of projects financed or co-financed by EU Funds. Concurrently, she started her academic career, teaching project management and other business and economics subjects at the University of Pardubice in the Czech Republic. In 2023, she became an Associate Professor with a habilitation thesis on Project Management Maturity Models. She is the author and co-author of two Project Management Maturity Models. She has experience managing projects in the public and non-profit sectors. Over the last ten years, she has occasionally served as a consultant in the private and non-profit sectors.

She is the author or co-author of more than five monographs and textbooks, and over 50 scientific papers published in impacted journals or conference proceedings. She is a reviewer for numerous scientific articles in impacted journals and at scientific conferences. She participates in national and international research and development projects, in programs such as COST, Erasmus+, and CEEPUS.

Jana Košťálová is certified as a senior project manager (IPMA Level B), PRINCE2 Foundation, and PRINCE2 Practitioner. Since 2022, she has been a member of the IPMA CZ board, helping to improve the partnership between universities in the Czech Republic and project management associations.

Currently, Jana Košťálová is on the faculty of Project Management at Alma Mater Europaea ECM and an Associate Professor at the University of Pardubice, where she teaches courses and manages research projects.
