Mauricio Medinaceli was previous the Minister of Hydrocarbons in Bolivia and is now Economic Advisor for the World Bank in Uzbekistan regarding green economy transition. Mauricio has a vast international experience within the energy sector on its role within sustainable development. Academically Mauricio has a BA in Economics from the Catholic University of Bolivia, a MA in Economics from the ILADES University of in Chile, and a M.Sc. in Economics from the Georgetown University in the USA. He has furthered his education with Certificates from Harvard, USA, and University of Göttingen, Germany. Mauricio is past Dean of Economics at the Catholic University of Bolivia (2022) and a university professor for 18 years at the Andean University and University of San Andres Universities in Bolivia and University of America in Ecuador. Mauricio has published 5 books and written 5 chapters in other books, published 8 professional journal articles, conducted, and reported on 34 major international research projects based on energy and its role in sustainable development.
