Claudia Sovre is a graduate of the AMEU Academy of Dance and assistant to the choreographer SNG Opera and Ballet Ljubljana Claudia Sovre. He emphasizes that a ballet pedagogue needs knowledge of recognized ballet methodology, modern approaches to dance pedagogy, psychology, safe practice, and many others in his work.
"Ballet dancer and ballet teacher are not the same professions, even if mastering the first is a condition for obtaining the second. Only an educated ballet teacher can properly transfer valuable knowledge to younger generations, thereby creating quality professional ballet dancers. This way, we will make it possible to watch performances at a high professional level and provide a high-quality local staff who will lovingly pass on the beauty of ballet art to the next generations."
In October 2016, she started attending the Alma Mater Europea Dance Academy in Maribor, majoring in classical ballet, as a first generation. In 2019, she successfully defended her graduation thesis on Ballet teacher and their role in the educational process of ballet dancers and obtained the title of "graduate dancer/choreographer (VS)." He continues his studies at the Master's degree of the Academy of Dance in the direction of Dance Pedagogy. She participated in several scientific conferences and round tables with her contributions to ballet teaching and the teacher's role.
In March 2017, she was invited to Sarajevo as a jury member at the Balance ballet competition. In January 2018, she taught and choreographed at the Sarajevo Winter Dance Workshop with a closing concert at the Youth Theater in Sarajevo. In the summers of 2017 - 2019, she taught at the International Masterclass Croatia in Zagreb. In February 2018, in collaboration with renowned ballet soloist and pedagogue Aleksandar Lukjanov, she organized the ballet Winter Masterclass in Ljubljana. In 2018, she was invited as a guest pedagogue to the Belgrade higher education dance institution Institute for Artistic Dance, where she prepared their students for the final exam in classical ballet. Since 2018, she has organized her summer seminar every summer. She offers classical ballet training based on the Vaganova methodology intended for dancers of various dance genres and prior ballet knowledge.
In February 2019, she was invited to Cairo/Egypt, as the Jury President for their national classical and contemporary dance competition organized by the mud school Easy Talent Academy ETA. In September 2019, she took over the online artistic direction of ETA, but due to the global health crisis of Covid 19 and school closures forced cooperation to be suspended. In April 2019, she participated in the world premiere of The Ring by the Dove at the Royal Opera House Muscat, Oman, performed by the Egyptian Contemporary Ballet from Cairo and the International Ballet School in Munich.
