Research Visit by Artificial Intelligence Students

International students enrolled in the doctoral program Applied Artificial Intelligence at Alma Mater Europaea gathered in Slovenia as part of their academic activities, which are otherwise conducted online.

They visited the university’s headquarters in Maribor and the Department of Artificial Intelligence at the Jožef Stefan Institute in Ljubljana, where Slovenia’s leading AI expert, Professor Dr. Matjaž Gams, welcomed them.

The Jožef Stefan Institute also participated earlier this year in the international scientific conference It’s About People, organized by Alma Mater Europaea in cooperation with the European Academy of Sciences and Arts and the World Academy of Art and Science. The event annually brings top science, technology, and society researchers to Maribor.

The Applied Artificial Intelligence doctoral program at Alma Mater Europaea University is one of the most advanced in the region. It enables students to explore and develop artificial intelligence and its applications in healthcare, automation, finance, and the social sciences. The program emphasizes an interdisciplinary approach, combining theoretical knowledge with solving real-world challenges.

Special focus is on developing critical thinking, innovation, and leadership skills necessary for successful work in an international research environment. Students gain competencies in leading research teams, communicating scientific achievements, and co-shaping the future of technology.

The program offers a unique opportunity to prepare for leading roles in artificial intelligence while promoting global collaboration between academic and industrial partners.
