Dr. Robert Joslin, PhD, CEng, ACE, IPMO-E, is a renowned academic and practitioner with over 35 years of experience in Project Portfolio Management (PPM), PMO leadership, and business transformation across various industries. His expertise spans the design and implementation of innovative business transformation programs and PMO management, recognized both nationally and internationally for excellence in these domains.
Dr. Joslin is the founder of AIPMO (Association of International Project Management Officers), where he chairs the development of international standards and training models for PMO management. He continues to design and deliver enterprise PMOs using AIPMO’s comprehensive strategic frameworks and methodologies for PMOs, Portfolios, Programs, and Projects. His PhD and primary research focus lie in PPM and PMO management methodologies, leadership and governance to further solidifying his standing as a thought leader in the field.
Previously, Dr. Joslin served as a professor at SBS Swiss Business School, where he developed the innovative program in Strategy, Project Leadership, and PMO Management. As the Head of SBS’s Research Advisory Board (RAB), he played a pivotal role in securing the school’s prestigious AAQ accreditation through his unique research approach using frameworks.
Dr. Joslin is currently part of the Project Management faculty at Alma Mater Europaea ECM and holds an adjunct professorship at Aarhus University, where he teaches courses on consulting frameworks. His academic contributions include authoring several books, book chapters, and numerous research papers. A sought-after speaker at international conferences, he regularly contributes as a peer reviewer for leading research journals in project management and PMO management methodologies.
