Originally from Perú, Dr. Narro Perez is now a post-doctoral fellow in the Faculty of Science and the Office of the Vice-Provost (Teaching and Learning) at McMaster University in Canada. Dr. Narro Pérez received his PhD from the School of Earth, Environment and Society from McMaster University, and the Water without Borders (WWB) graduate diploma from the United Nations University Institute for Water, Environment and Health (UNU-INWEH) and his Hons. B.Sc. in Integrated Science from McMaster. He has taught over 12 courses in all aspects of Sustainable Development and the environment in an interdisciplinary manner with an emphasis on justice and equity. He has also published six journal articles, given over 24 presentations, and secured over $700,000 in research funding. Dr. Narro Pérez has active research interests in various fields including climate change, Latin American/Latinx Studies, community-engaged education and anti-racism education in the sciences. He aims to bridge together his scientific training with social and community solutions as they relate to sustainable development, and disproportionally impacted communities such as Latin America and Central Eastern Europe
