Successful basketball player and physiotherapy student

Alma Mater student of physiotherapy Tiana Meglič Šteharnik is considered one of Slovenia's most successful basketball players.

Tiana Meglič Šteharnik started attending basketball training at the age of seven. "Since I was a little girl, I followed my mother, an excellent basketball player, and she was my first role model and why I started playing this sport myself," says Tiana. She successfully combined a career as a top basketball player with physiotherapy study. "The reason for studying physiotherapy is my problems with my knees, which I encounter on the basketball floor. After many visits to physiotherapists and much of their advice, I realized that I am very interested in this field, and at the same time, I can combine it very well with my sports career.

Tiana Meglič Šteharnik is a member of the basketball club VBO Maribor and a standard member of the junior national teams of Slovenia, which is made up of the best players of the generation and represents the colors of Slovenia at European championships. "In the future, I want to be part of the national team, where I will have the opportunity to play with the best Slovenian players like Teja Oblak, Zala Friškovec, Nika Barič, Eva Lisec, and others," she says. Tiana adds that her wishes and goals are simple. "I want basketball always to be something that I like to do and that I will successfully combine my professional and professional career and inspire young people with my game for basketball."
