Successful cooperation between Alma Mater and Cyfronet


Alma Mater Europaea – ECM received guests from the supercomputer center Cyfronet, Krakow; the director Marek Magryś and the expert in High-Performance Computing and Cyfrone Marta Maj.

The guests were welcomed by the president of Alma Mater Europaea, Dr Ludvik Toplak, and the coordinator of study programs Digital Technologies Dr Matej Mertik.

"The cooperation between Alma Mater and the Cyfronet Center is very successful. We discussed future possibilities for exchanging knowledge, which we develop with research work and study programs in applied artificial intelligence, as well as cooperation in research projects and consortia related to applied artificial intelligence in European researches and funds," says Professor Toplak.

"We also addressed how to effectively transfer knowledge and research findings in the wider environment in the framework of international conferences such as “It's About People” and other innovation projects," explains Professor Dr Mertik.

Alma Mater Europaea cooperates with the Cyfronet computer center in Poland in the implementation of specific study content of study programs in digital technologies (module Artificial Intelligence and Data at bachelor’s level, Web Science and Technology at master's level, and new doctoral study program Applied Artificial Intelligence).

The Academic Computer Centre CYFRONET is one of the largest computing centers in Poland, providing telecommunication and computing services to the entire scientific community of Krakow and beyond to support scientific research and innovation implementation.
