On Friday, October 3rd 2014, we welcomed the sixth generation of first-year students of our Physical Therapy and Nursing study programs.
The first to welcome the students was prof. dr. Ludvik Toplak, President of AMEU, who also gave the new students a few good and important advice for the study on the way. Then first-year students were addressed by mag. Tomaž Klojčnik, Assistant Secretary-General of the AMEU, who presented the information and communication technology (ICT) used at the AMEU, while dr. Simon Ülen introduced the e-learning platform Moodle. Our new students were also welcomed by doc. dr. Danica Železnik, Head of study programs in the field of health at AMEU, and mag. Mladen Herc, Head of the study program Physical Therapy at AMEU. Dragica Korenjak, the first graduate of the AMEU, and Vito Dragič, Physical Therapy student and successful athlete, motivated the first-year students with their speeches. In the end the students were also addressed by Srečko Plešnik, the President of the Slovenian Association of Physiotherapists, and Alen Kapel, AMEU-ECM Student Council President.
