Dr. Yilong Han, PhD, is a distinguished Research Professor with extensive expertise in megaproject management, urban sustainability, and healthcare operations.
Dr. Han earned his Ph.D. degree from Virginia Tech in 2016, and worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the National University of Singapore. He directed the Cyber-enabled Global Research Infrastructure for Design (CyberGRID) Lab at Virginia Tech, where he was responsible for facilitating complex interdisciplinary design and planning work among architects and engineers. He has authored or coauthors more than 70 articles in a number of leading engineering/project management journals, including Nature Scientific Data, Engineering, IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management, ASCE Journal of Management in Engineering, and ASCE Journal of Construction Engineering and Management, International Journal of Project Management.
Dr. Han is an Associate Editor of ASCE Journal of Management in Engineering and an Assistant Specialty Editor of ASCE Journal of Construction Engineering and Management, and serves on the editorial board for IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management, Frontiers of Engineering Management, and Journal of Green Buildings, etc. He has twice been invited as the session chair at the ASCE Construction Research Congress. Dr. Han is a recipient of the Shanghai Chenguang Talent Program and the Young Talent Think Tank Program of China Association for Science and Technology, and has been honored with the International Project Management Association Outstanding Research Contribution Award.
Dr. Han's passion for research and teaching continues to inspire the next generation of engineers and researchers at Alma Mater, as he actively engages in advancing the boundaries of Construction Engineering and Management.
