Prof. Dr. Yongkui Li is a prominent academic and practitioner in the field of Construction Management, currently serving as Associate Dean and Professor at the Institute of Complex Engineering & Management. With over 15 years of experience in academia and extensive involvement in project management, Prof. Li is recognized for his contributions to BIM (Building Information Modeling) and megaproject management.

Prof. Li has held a significant role at the Research Institute of Complex Engineering & Management, where he has been instrumental in leading research initiatives and developing educational programs that prepare students for the complexities of modern engineering challenges. His expertise encompasses a range of topics, including BIM, complex project management, and sustainable healthcare facilities.

In addition to his academic duties, Prof. Li has been serving as Deputy General Manager at Shanghai Kerui Construction Project Management Co. Ltd. since January 2007, where he applies his academic knowledge to real-world project management practices.

Prof. Li's educational background is extensive, with a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Construction Management from Tongji University that focused on BIM applications. He also holds a Master of Science (MS) in Construction Management from Tongji University and a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Construction Management from Harbin Institute of Technology. Additionally, he was a visiting scholar at Virginia Tech, specializing in megaproject management from 2015 to 2016, further enhancing his expertise.

An accomplished researcher, Prof. Li has authored and co-authored numerous influential publications. Some notable works include "Building Information Modeling (BIM) for Green Buildings: A Critical Review and Future Directions," and "Organizational Behavior in Megaprojects: Integrative Review and Directions for Future Research." His research spans various aspects of construction management, including the impact of governance on project performance and the barriers to BIM implementation.

Prof. Li's contributions to the field extend beyond academia, as he actively engages in shaping construction management practices through his experiences in both research and industry. His dedication to educating future leaders and advancing research in complex engineering and management makes him a vital figure in the discipline. Now he is inspiring students at Alma Mater.
