20 days prior to the conference “ALL ABOUT PEOPLE: DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION IN SCIENCE, EDUCATION AND ARTS” we want to present the keynote speakers of the opening day.
The morning plenary session will start on Friday, 12 March 2021 at 10:00 am with the European Commissioner for Education, Culture, Youth and Sport, Mrs. Mariya Gabriel.
Mrs. Mariya Gabriel has since the beginning of her mandate supported creation of new partnerships and cross-sectoral cooperation between educators, companies and governments, stating that sharing experiences empowers changes in science, education and culture and is crucial for finding new, applicable solutions to face current challenges. This years's AMEU conference has the same message: connecting educators and technologies for finding a faster way out of the Covid19 crisis.
Keynote speaker in the morning session will be prof. dr. Klaus Mainzer, the new President of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts Salzburg. Prof. Mainzer studied mathematics, physics and philosophy. His studies and research of the foundations and future perspectives of science and technology will give us a complex presentation on algorithms and artificial intelligence in science and society.
In the afternoon session we will be hosting professor Jeffrey Sachs, Director of the Center for Sustainable Development at Columbia University. His has been connected to Slovenia for almost 30 years, advising the first Slovene government on macro-economic stabilisation in the times of transition.
