Two lecturers of Alma Mater Europaea, Nataša Vidnar and mag. Boris Miha Kaučič, attended the International Council of Nurses (ICN INP/APNN) Conference in Helsinki, which was hosted by the Finnish Nurses Association. The theme of the conference was “Advanced nursing practice: Expanding access and improving healthcare outcomes”.
At the conference, the lecturers presented the results of their study entitled “Physical activity of overweight people in connection with social networks”. The study was conducted in Slovenia in cooperation with doc. dr. Bojana Filej.
More than 800 nurses from various countries, including Slovenia, attended the conference. The event offered an arena for nurse practitioners, advanced practice nurses, clinical nurse specialists, nurses, researchers, educators, policy makers, and managers from all over the world to share and analyse issues on advanced nursing practice and to seek new cooperation opportunities.
AMEU-ECM signed a bilateral agreement with the Finnish University of Oulu (Faculty of Medicine, Institute of Health Sciences), which enables student and teaching staff mobility within the Erasmus+ program.
The next ICN INP/APNN Conference will be held in Hong Kong in 2016; for more information about the conference in Finland click here.
