Digital aid for silver age

Alma Mater Europaea - ECM is the co-organizer of the event "Digital Aid for Silver Age". The event will take place on 18 and 19 May 2022 at the Alma Mater premises in Ljubljana, Kardeljeva ploščad 1 and Dunajska 104.

We kindly invite you to take part in this free two-day event Digital Aid for Silver Age, which is part of the Pharaon project - Pilot cases for healthy and active aging.

The Pharaon project - Pilot Examples for Healthy and Active Aging aims to support the aging population in Europe by integrating digital services, devices and tools in open platforms that can be used immediately, while preserving the dignity of older adults and increasing their independence and security. Pharaon is an EU project implemented in five European countries. The purpose of the Slovenian part of the project, based on the defined needs of older adults (residents of retirement homes) is to obtain appropriate technological tools to help them live independently, reduce social isolation, and improve their well-being. Therefore, several digital tools have been included in the project, including a TV communication system, smart bracelets and sensors, and smart analytics that will be integrated to provide tailored and optimized healthcare. In order to raise awareness of the importance of this topic and connect with experts in Slovenia who deal with this topic, the Digital Aid for Silver Age event will be organised by AMEU.

The event will outline the current situation in nursing homes in Slovenia and around the world, present the Pharaon project, technological solutions for retirement homes, the needs of older adults, examples of good practice from Slovenia and the world, and various projects / research in the aging population. The event will also include a round table "Digitization and the contribution of the Pharaon project to improving the quality of life of older adults."
