Strategic Communication Management

Doctoral study programme Strategic Communication Management is an interdisciplinary study, focused on new strategic managerial values (personal, intercultural, economic, political, cultural, artistic, religious, health-related, scientific, global, regional, national and local) and new specific subjects. The programme offers theoretical and methodological approaches to communication, as well as interdisciplinary communication skills, competences and knowledge from the area of strategic management (management of and handling information and communication channels at all levels of the managerial process).

Professor Dr. Mladen Radujković is a distinguished expert in project management, with a career spanning over three decades in academia and industry. He currently serves as a Professor of Project Management and leads the International Doctoral Program in Project Management at Alma Mater Europaea University ECM. In 2018, he was elected as a member of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts (EASA) in Austria and was honored as an Honorary Fellow of the International Project Management Association (IPMA). During his career, he held the positions of Vice President for Education and Training, so as President, and Chair of Council at International Project Management Association. Additionally, he was founder of the Croatian Association for Project Management (CAPM) and regional SENET project management association. Currently, he is the owner of the consulting firm Project, Program, and Portfolio Expert (PPPE).

Academic and Professional Background

Dr. Radujković's academic tenure includes over 25 years at the University of Zagreb, Croatia, where he served as a Professor of Project Management and Construction Management. During this period, he held several leadership roles, including Vice Dean for Research (2002-2006) and Dean of the Faculty of Civil Engineering (2006-2010). He was also a member of the Rector’s Collegium at the University of Zagreb from 2010 to 2011. Since 2017, he has been a Professor and Senate member at Alma Mater Europaea University ECM in Maribor, focusing on project management.

In his professional journey, Dr. Radujković has undertaken roles such as site engineer, project manager, consultant, and professor. He has been actively involved in various leadership positions across companies, associations, and academic institutions, including roles as director, vice dean, dean, vice president, president, and chairman.

Contributions to Project Management

Dr. Radujković has been instrumental in advancing project management practices globally. He has participated in, consulted for, or managed over 100 complex projects in Central and Southeast Europe, spanning sectors such as infrastructure, construction, tourism, water management, transport, entrepreneurship, investment, education, and oil and gas. His clients have included prominent organizations like Ilbau Austria, Strabag Germany, Booz Allen Hamilton USA, IPMA International, Ernst & Young Consulting, EPTISA Spain, ADRIS Croatia, and other.

Within the International Project Management Association (IPMA), Dr. Radujković has held several key positions, including Vice President for Education and Research (2007-2012), President (2013-2014), and Chair of the Council of Delegates (2014-2017). His leadership has significantly influenced the development of international project management standards and practices.

Research and Publications

An active researcher, Dr. Radujković has led or participated in 20+ research projects related to organization and management. He has authored over 200+ papers, with about half published in international journals, primarily focusing on project management and construction management topics. He serves as a reviewer for 10+ international scientific project management or construction journals and has been a member of the scientific committee for over 50 international conferences. His scholarly work has been widely recognized, with numerous citations reflecting his impact on the field.

Educational Initiatives

Dr. Radujković has been pivotal in developing and delivering courses at undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate levels. He has conceptualized and taught specialized postgraduate programs, including European Projects, MBA in Construction, and Project Management at European Business Studies. He has also designed and conducted approximately 80 seminars and workshops on project and construction management.

Since 2017. he held position as visiting Professor at Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST), Wuhan, China.

Professional Certifications

Dr. Radujković holds several international certifications in project management, including:

  • IPMA Level B: Senior Project Manager
  • IPMA Level A: Executive Consultant and Coach
  • USAID/Booz Allen Hamilton: Trainer of Trainers (ToT) Certificate I-IV for Infrastructure Project Management

In 2018, he was awarded the IPMA Honorary Fellowship in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the project management profession.

In 2021 he was appointed as Honorary Global Advisor for the PM World Journal and Library, USA.
