Asst. prof. dr. Tine Kovačič worked as a head of medicine and rehabilitation department almost 20 years, providing neurodevelopmental treatment (NDT) to children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), providing sport physiotherapy to athletes with IDD in Special Olympcis (SO). He finished his MSC PT in 2003 in UeL (UK), PhD in Social Gerontology in 2019 at Alma Mater Europaea - European centre Maribor (AMEU ECM). His postgraduate education includes training in various methods of rehabilitation of neurological diseases (PNF, NDT, Hippotherapy, etc.) as well as other seminars such as Myofascial Release and Motor Activities Training Programme, Motor Control and Motor Learning, etc.. He serves as a clinical director of Fun Fitness - PT program for SO Slovenia and as a clinical advisor for Fun fitness in Europe Euroasia region. He is an Associate Professor for the undergraduate PT, MSc and PhD Physiotherapy programs at AMEU ECM. Currently he is the president of Slovenian Association of Physiotherapists.
