“During COVID-19, we were forced to digitize a certain part of life. This showed the important role of modern technologies and information technology knowledge, and thus increased the need for digital transformation and experts in this field. The panel will present the advantages and disadvantages of digital technologies revealed by the COVID19 crisis, what needs to be done, what needs to be improved, what are the new opportunities and realities in the field of technologies, explains dr. Matej Mertik, Study dean of the Web and Information Technology Program.

The first e-section of the AMEU conference with over 110 participants

Last week Alma Mater hosted the first e-section as part of the 8th scientific conference "All About People: the relevance of science and education". The section referred to the field of Social gerontology and was conducted in the form of a ZOOM conference, which enabled the participation of more than 110 presenters, participants, students and other guests.

3rd all Slovenian carnival get-together for seniors in Ptuj

On February 20, the 3rd all-Slovenian Carnival get-together for Seniors took place at Ptuj carnival, organized by the AMEU Social Gerontology students Lidija Minić (Bachelor of Social Gerontology) and Veronika Gorišek (Doctoral Student of social gerontology).

More than 1000 participants and 200 papers at the international conference
