Management Board

The Management Board decides on material issues and ensures an unhindered business activity of the institution.

The Management Board is a management body made up of five members – four representatives of the founder, two representatives of the institution and one representative of the students. The members are appointed for a period of four years and the representatives of the students for one year. In the 2014/2015 study year, the Management Board had the following members:

The Management Board decides on matters of a material nature and ensures the smooth material operations of the higher education institution, in particular:

  • adopts the financial plan and the final account of the higher education institution,
  • approves international cooperation agreements, except for agreements on student and teacher exchanges,
  • on the proposal of the President, adopts decisions on tuition fees and the price list of services,
  • adopts other decisions in the field of material operations,
  • adopts the investment plan,
  • gives consent to proposed amendments or supplements to the statute,
  • upon the proposal of the Senate, decides on the introduction, organization, and financing of new study programs of the higher education institution,
  • upon obtaining the opinion of the Senate, adopts the act on the systematization of jobs at the higher education institution,
  • upon obtaining the opinion of the Senate, adopts general and individual acts of the higher education institution,
  • appoints the President of the higher education institution,
  • on the proposal of the President and the Senate, may establish a new organizational unit, modify an already established unit, or decide that an organizational unit shall cease to operate,
  • and performs other tasks in accordance with the law, the founding act, the statute, and the rules on internal organizational structure.
