Let's add life to the years - Department of Social Gerontology at the Radio Workshop of Acquaintances1

On Monday, 21 March, 2022, Radio Maribor organised the so called Workshop of Acquaintances at their Radio station. The workshop was attended by prof. dr. Jana Goriup – Study dean of the Department of Social Gerontology at Alma Mater Europaea - ECM, assist. prof. dr. Peter Seljak - coordinator of practical training of students and higher education lecturer, undergraduate student of social gerontology Martina Piskar, master's student of social gerontology Urška Kunčič and doctoral student of social gerontology Mihaela Kežman. They talked about the challenges of modern social gerontology, the attitude towards aging and old age, and the much-needed intergenerational dialogue.

The event, organized by the Department of Archival Sciences and Records management at Alma Mater Europaea, so far lists 18 delegates from ten countries, with more expected. They will present their work and publish the expected results of their doctoral dissertations.

Dear students, dear colleagues, friends, the year 2021 is coming to an end. It was full of surprises, good and less good. A good thing about Alma Mater Europaea (AMEU - ECM) is that we have ended the year successfully. We have fulfilled our education and research plans and exceeded our professional and technical skills to deal with the new surprises of the pandemic. It’s less good, though, that we can’t meet in person to shake hands, hug, and wish each other Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. That is why I am sharing with you this more comprehensive message.
